East Metro Youth Services would like to thank our kind volunteers at the Bank of Montreal for their efforts to clean and cook for us. It was a very kind gesture that was truly appreciated by all staff and participants.

On September 5th, The Zone hosted a Back to School bash for the participants of the program. The event included free prizes, food, and a lot of fun!
On August 23rd the Zone hosted an Amazing Race challenge throughout the Scarborough. This year we had over 30 competitors and 6 teams competing for prizes and bragging rights. Each team had a great time and look forward to next year’s competition.

On Monday May 28, 2012 we had our graduation event for our MHE Pre-Employment Program. This was a brand new program with the emphasis being on finding full-time employment for youth who are dealing with Mental Health and/or Addictions issues. VIP participants were very fortunate to participate in the TIFF Next Wave set building competition. The participants had a great time learning how to building a movie set while also competing for the prize and bragging rights!
VIP Participants attended MTV studios for the latest Change the View video competition. The group had lots of fun listening to live music, watching the video finalists and understanding how they can help to destigmatize mental health.
A special congratulations to the VIP Boys group who recently graduated. The celebration was held at Laser Quest and Boston Pizza.
